Let it settle
Respect the adhesive settling time in your kit instructions before exposure to water or use.
A good finish starts before the first decal
A practical preparation guide for your graphics. Start with a clean machine, a dry check and the instructions supplied with your kit.
This is a general guide. Your kit’s material-specific instructions take priority, including surface preparation, temperature, application method and curing time.
01 / Set yourself up
Work through this checklist before removing any backing. Your progress is saved on this device.
02 / One panel at a time
Match each piece to its panel while the backing is still attached. Check edges, vents, fasteners and adjoining graphics. Photograph and query any mismatch before proceeding.
Follow the cleaning and surface preparation instructions for the supplied material and your panels. Let the surface dry fully. Avoid cleaners that leave a residue, and test compatibility in an inconspicuous area when appropriate.
Work on one piece at a time. Use the alignment method recommended for your kit, checking the position before applying firm pressure. Do not use a wet application method unless your kit specifically calls for it.
Peel the backing gradually and use the recommended application tool and technique. Do not force a misaligned piece into place by stretching it. Use heat only as instructed for the material and surface.
Check all edges, corners and openings. Complete any finishing or post-heating procedure specified for your kit, then allow the stated settling time before riding, handling heavily or washing.
03 / Keep it looking good
Respect the adhesive settling time in your kit instructions before exposure to water or use.
Use suitable cleaners and gentle methods. Keep high-pressure spray away from edges and seams.
If an edge lifts or a piece is damaged, photograph it and ask for advice before it gets worse.
