Motorworx • Engine enquiries

Find the right next step for your engine.

Rebuild assessment or replacement shortblock? Start with the machine, the engine and what happened.

Contact Motorworx directly to confirm the options for your application. Accurate engine details help separate a repair question from a replacement-engine enquiry.

Existing engine

Discuss a rebuild.

Describe the engine’s condition, symptoms and any known failure. Ask whether it is suitable for assessment and what information Motorworx needs before quoting.

Include modifications and previous work. An assessment conversation helps establish scope; it is not a confirmed repair or price.

Replacement enquiry

Ask about a shortblock.

For a Polaris or Ski-Doo shortblock enquiry, identify the exact application and engine. Year and model alone may not resolve compatibility.

Ask which components are included, what your installer would need to transfer and whether an appropriate option is currently available.

Build a useful engine enquiry.

The machine

  • Year, make and model
  • Engine size and identification or part number
  • Your location and whether you are the owner or a shop

The history

  • Symptoms, failure and when the problem appeared
  • Known modifications and previous engine work
  • Clear photographs of identification markings and relevant damage

Before shipping

Confirm the destination and the plan.

Do not send an engine until Motorworx confirms acceptance and the correct destination. Ask how to prepare and package it, which parts to include or remove, who arranges shipping and whether an assessment charge applies.

Get the scope clear before committing.

Quote and compatibility

Ask what the quote includes, which costs are separate and how compatibility is confirmed. For a shortblock, request the included-component list and installation requirements.

Assessment and timing

Clarify how inspection findings are communicated, how additional work is approved and when a final price and expected timing can be confirmed. Ask about return arrangements as part of the same conversation.

Written warranty terms

Request the terms that apply to the proposed work or component, including conditions, exclusions and the claim process. Do not assume a general statement covers a particular engine or modification.
